Congratulations Chelsea....

It was one of the most boring games I have ever watched this entire season. It was sad that the 2 best teams in the Premiership put on such a dismal performance. I expected much more from the League Champion and Runner-Up.

The game started very slowly - with both teams playing extremely cautiously. In the 2nd half, it was a little interesting when both teams were attacking the goal mouths, but nothing materialised. Although I am a die-hard Man Utd fan, I just wanted one team (any team) to score, just to get the game started. But it did not happen. Suddenly, Ryan Giggs had a one-on-one opportunity with Peter Cech - was it a GOAL? When the shot was replayed, the ball had crossed the line. Even if the goal was not given as he lunged forward to challenge Cech (it was proclaimed to be a foul), but no one saw the foul that he had suffered as he went down upon being tackled by Essien. But, that is football. Things like this happen. We can't be blaming that one opportunity and claim the entire game to be unfair. We have to create more chances.

It went into extra time. On the 25th minute (on the last 5 minutes of extra time), Didier Drogba scored a beautifully set-up goal by Frank Lampard.

It was a sad evening for the Red Army. However, I do hope and pray that the boys will be able to pick up and train even harder to get the next season started in 3 months time with a blast. I am sure with all the new signings that we are expecting to purchase we will be a force to be reckoned with.

Man Utd have won the Premiership. Based on the table, one can conclude that we have won it hands down. After Chelsea (5 points behind), our closest rivals are Liverpool and Arsenal who were freaking 21 points behind us. Check that out!

So we will be back the next season. And this time, not only to win the Premiership - to make it a perfect 10, but to repeat what we did in 1999. We have the team and the spirit to do it. I strongly believe we can repeat the success of 1999.

Glory Glory Man Utd!
